ANTH 2530 HistoricalArchaeology

Reflection:

While taking Historical Archaeology I learned a great deal. The subject consists of learning the methods and theories of studying the historical history. It was a new experience for me regarding archaeology. In the past I have mostly studied methods and sections of prehistory. Historical history though similar to prehistory contains many different methods in ways to study it. Historical history being more recent allows for a more expansive study of the simple objects that were left behind. while prehistory most of the objects would be gone. Also Historical history containing the written records from the past allows comparison to the artifacts found in a site. Taking a class in Historical Archaeology gives you great insight into the overall field of archaeology. Any student looking to expand their knowledge in that area should seek to take this class.
